Nutrition Tip #4

Canada's Food Guide places foods into four main food groups – grains, fruits and vegetables, meat and alternatives and milk and alternatives. You should plan your meals so that they contain at least three out of the four food groups. For example: a healthy breakfast can include a bowl of cereal with milk and a handful of nuts.

Insurance Coverage

Health insurance companies generally provide coverage for nutrition counselling. Check with your private insurance provider for coverage on services provided by a registered dietitian.
